One of the first things you will need to know when looking for a Stairlift is how much do Stairlifts cost? Stairlift prices depend on many contributing factors such as do you need a straight stairlift or a curved stairlift? Are you looking to buy a new stairlift, a reconditioned stairlift or rent a straight stairlift? We understand that this may seem very daunting so we have produced some very informative pages within this website that hopefully will explain the differences and benefits of each type and help you make a more informed decision as to which stairlift will suit your needs. The links to these pages can be found above.
Presuming that you have now looked on the different pages, hopefully you feel that you have a better understanding of what you may require. Lets look at some of the various options and see how much does a stairlift cost…
What does a straight stairlift cost? A straight stairlift is available in three different options:
New straight stairlift – these start from around £1450 with two years warranty
Reconditioned straight stairlift – £900 – £1250 with one year full warranty
Rental straight stairlift – Installation starts from £350 and then rent is from £40 per calendar month for a standard stair lift. All servicing, repairs & maintenance is included
What does a curved stairlift cost? Our curved stairlifts are available in the following two options:
New curved stairlift – Starting from around £4250 with two years warranty
Reconditioned Stannah curved stairlift – Ours start from around £3250 with 12 months full warranty
As curved stairlifts are totally bespoke and the rails need to be custom made for each stair case, we don’t offer these as a rental option. Some of our competitors use the cheaper & less reliable modular curved rail systems for rental curved stairlifts. Our experience of these is very different to the twin rail design that was pioneered by Stannah Stairlifts many years ago and still in production today. This is a proven and reliable design that has been used or modified by other manufacturers to offer high levels of dependability.
