A common thing we see on a daily basis are sun damaged and faded plastic covers on stairlifts. When a stairlift is parked at the bottom of the stairs it is usually in front of a front door where the sun beams through. Today I went to a Brooks straight stairlift in a lovely old Victorian house to carry out a Leamington Spa stairlift repair. The lady had recently had a new wooden floor fitted and needed the stairlift rail raising off the floor to allow for the different thickness. It was an old curved Stairlift and our Stairlift engineer had been out to it previously. We fitted new batteries as it had not been used for some time and left switched off.
